A slow site needs measurements across server response, images, scripts, and page processing, not a guess based on one speed score.
What to check
- Test several representative pages
- Separate server delay from browser work
- Identify the largest files and third-party requests
What the results mean
Test important pages from a visitor perspective and address the largest bottleneck before buying more hosting.
Measure the experience that matters
Test the homepage and the pages that produce inquiries, especially on mobile. Separate time waiting for the server from images, scripts, fonts, and third-party widgets in the browser. The largest problem may live on a service page or booking flow even when the homepage looks fast.
Prioritize changes by impact
Compress oversized images, remove unnecessary requests, inspect expensive database or plugin work, and review hosting capacity with evidence. Change one major factor at a time and compare under similar conditions. A speed score alone does not show whether the customer can read, navigate, and contact the business more easily.
Should I remove every plugin?
No. Keep the tools the business actually needs and fix measured bottlenecks rather than stripping useful functionality blindly.
